Women-owned and operated coworking spaces have grown over the last decade and we’re excited to share just a few of our amazing venue partners that are at the forefront of inclusive and flexible work space.

These venues are dedicated to providing their communities with a safe space to accelerate their careers, connect with other business professionals, and provide an environment that elevates creativity.

Whether you're ready to change up your workspace for the day, need to book space by the hour, or are embracing a hybrid workplace to empower your employees to work from where it works, these awesome spaces are not to be missed.

1. Hera Hub

Hera Hub, founded by Felena Hanson in San Diego in 2011, is the first female-focused coworking space and business accelerator to expand nationally. Felena grew up in an entrepreneurial family and after finding herself out of work in her 30s, decided to re-evaluate her direction and seek opportunity to innovate.

In March 2010 she was turned on to the idea of coworking. At the time she was teaching marketing and entrepreneurship, whilst planning networking events and needed space for her business. Finding most existing spaces were designed for other audiences, she came up with the idea of building a work and meeting space where enterprising women could connect and collaborate in a spa-inspired setting.

Hera Hub hosts numerous networking events, educational workshops, provide mentoring opportunities, and have flexible coworking options for members and non members alike, and is now in six locations stretching from California to Washington DC.

2. Trellis

Created by a team of female, queer, and POC founders, the Trellis team believes that diversity and inclusion will be even more essential to navigating a complex, post-pandemic world. It takes its name from a garden trellis, as the co-founders envisaged a unique and supportive space that encourages growth and where ideas can flourish.

Housed in a stunning three-level brick-and-timber building in downtown San Francisco, the recently opened venue has no shortage of space for professionals who are seeking a place to concentrate, collaborate or cowork.

Take your pick of private offices, dedicated desks and open seating, and make the most of the on site cafe with artisanal coffee and fresh-baked pastries. Not to mention the popular wine bar with 12 rotating wines and beer taps.

"Trellis is the workspace I wish I had every day I was stuck at home during the pandemic. A beautiful, calm oasis where I can stretch out my legs, be productive, caffeinate, and safely connect with real human beings," said founder Rebecca Pan.

In 2013 she opened SHARED, a shared work-space for creatives to work and collaborate together, welcoming anyone who builds, designs, or invents something.

“It is based on the belief that together we can create greater things than we could individually or in isolation,” said Marilyn.

Located in the heart of SoMa, SHARED has all the office amenities of a traditional coworking spot combined with a maker space that includes a fabrication area, sewing equipment, a shared workshop with tools and equipment, a kitchen, and space for classes and events. Plus your membership includes use of a large locker to store your equipment, supplies, tools and projects.
